Prayers Into Dark Matter
Floating In The Flood

watching those summer prayers crystallize into perfect spheres of void felt like witnessing the birth of new celestial bodies. the way they hung there, suspended between the rose-colored sky and indigo waters, reminded me of ancient stories about souls becoming stars. beneath them, a spiral of golden light fought against the growing darkness, like the last whispered words trying to escape their gravitational pull. the inspiration came from those nights at camp when we would float on our backs in the lake, making wishes on stars that might have already died millions of years ago. there was something beautiful and terrible about capturing that moment when wishes become permanent fixtures in the cosmos.
